In its Q1 report for 2024, ITSA members have seen a 10% overall growth in orders, with some segments outperforming expectations.
Key Stats: –
- Revenues are flat versus the exit of 2023, but continue to hold up.
- Some key markets showing significant growth, with Broadcast +70% and Data Centre +31%
- Mass Transport was +11%, but concerns expressed over two major rolling-stock manufacturers having no current orders.
- The UK connector market continues to perform well, and this is supported by both the Manufacturing PMI and Make UK data.
Although 2024 has seen a good start for ITSA members, ITSA estimates that the UK connector market will likely only see low single-figure growth over the full year.
Nevertheless, ITSA members remain incredibly positive about the longer-term future.
